Description The GJD Opal RFX Wireless PIR (GJD018) is a high-performance wireless external passive infrared (PIR) detector, offering reliable event-based triggers for enhanced security applications. Designed to operate in conjunction with the GJD RFX-3 receiver, this system allows seamless control of cameras, DVRs, and other low-voltage switching requirements, providing a comprehensive security solution. With an adjustable detection range of up to 35 metres and a 150-metre wireless transmission range, the Opal RFX is ideal for securing large outdoor areas such as residential properties, commercial premises, and industrial sites. Its advanced design ensures consistent and precise detection of movement within the designated coverage area. Reliable Wireless Detection The Opal RFX detector is equipped with an integral dual-axis bracket, offering 180° pan and 90° tilt adjustment, allowing for precise positioning and accurate detection beam alignment. This flexibility ensures optimal coverage, reducing blind spots and enhancing perimeter security. The unit features 36-zone Fresnel lenses, which can be masked using the supplied tape to focus on specific areas of interest, further refining detection and minimising false triggers. Durable and Weatherproof Design Built to withstand challenging outdoor environments, the high-impact ABS housing features a UV-stabilised translucent front cover, offering additional protection to the optics against harsh weather conditions. With an IP55 protection rating, the detector is resistant to dust and water ingress, ensuring reliable performance in all weather conditions, from extreme cold to high heat. Seamless Integration with GJD Systems When paired with the GJD RFX-3 wireless receiver, the Opal RFX provides simultaneous or individual control of connected security systems, such as security lighting and alarms.
